The ideal candidate would:
would be motivated and strive for excellence, compassionate in their care, team oriented, personable yet professional, demonstrate flexibility and desire to grow. Additionally, the ideal client will be able to work at least two evenings a week OR one evening and a Saturday. A passion about our mission to provide Christian counseling (when requested) in combination with evidenced based treatments with children, teen, and families is a MUST.
Roles:
-Conduct initial intake assessment & develop and update treatment plans
-Implement appropriate evidence-based practices and interventions
-Keep client records and clinical documentation
-Collaborate with other professionals as necessary
-Attend regular staff and supervision meetings
-Adhere to ethical and professional standards and practices
Qualifications:
-Able to work some afternoon, evening, and/or weekend hours
-Successful completion of master’s or doctorate degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, or related degree
-Full or provisional mental health license in the state of North Carolina (MUST HAVE OR BE SEEKING LICENSURE WITH AN NC PROFESSIONAL BOARD)
-Mental health experience working with children, teens, and/or families
-Knowledge and familiarity with evidence-based practices and treatments
-Trained in a trauma-focused evidence-based practice or willing to receive training (such as EMDR, brainspotting, ART)
Preferred Experience:
-Experience integrating evidenced-based treatment with faith-based values and principles (as desired by clients’ comfort and preference)
-Specialized training or certifications (such as EMDR, CBT, PCIT, play therapy, brainspotting, etc.) for working with children, adolescents, and/or families
